The first-person voices are a creative narration technique — the historical context (events, dates, locations) is well-researched, while the personal perspective brings it to life. Think of it like a museum guide in costume: historically grounded, personally told. Every story can be rated (👍/👎) to help us improve quality.
Yes — Historyio is fully integrated with Android Auto. Stories appear in the Media Browser, audio plays through your car speakers, and you can control playback with steering wheel buttons or voice commands. No touching your phone while driving.
You need internet to generate new stories. However, your last 10 stories are saved locally and can be replayed offline anytime.
Kids Mode doesn't just filter content — it fundamentally changes how stories are created. The AI receives your child's age (8–16) and generates stories at that comprehension level. No violence, no distressing topics. Stories about war become stories about bravery and peace.
Very little. Stories are small text files (2–5 KB each). Premium voice audio is streamed in MP3 (~1–2 MB per story); the Free tier uses your phone's built-in voice and uses almost no data. 10 stories with audio are roughly the size of one short song.
